Empowerment Program - Discover the wisdom of ancient Chinese philosophy applied to 21st century living

The Challenge

  • Balance In Life - High technology has given us longer life expectancies through medicine; easier lifestyles through research and greater quantities of everything through industry. Americans live in a land weighted heavy in quantity. In the wake of the new millennium, we are also faced with increasing amounts of stress that comes from jobs, personal relationships and world events. When internalized, this can directly affect our health. Left unchecked, simple aches and pains have the potential to deteriorate into debilitating and even life-threatening conditions thus lowering the quality of life. The scales are uneven. We need to find balance.

The Approach

  • Ancient Wisdom - A simple way to create balance in life is by learning the philosophy and choreography of Tai Chi. This ancient martial art is practiced in China for more than just self-defense. Through dedicated training, the slow, gentle movements can have profound health benefits. Medical institutions have documented that Tai Chi can reduce stress and improve a variety of conditions, including arthritis, high blood pressure and asthma. The Tai Chi philosophy helps individuals deal with stress on a mental level. Simple Tai Chi concepts show the way to “let go”, “live in the moment” and “go with the flow”. The philosophy identifies the importance of facing life instead of wasting time struggling with indecision. It enables people to look beyond the surface of problems and get to the underlying issues to find real solutions.

The Solution

  • Tai Chi Empowerment - Listen to the wisdom of the ancient philosophers as it is applied to 21st century living through the teachings of Sifu Jonathan B. Walker. Walker, a Vietnam Era Veteran, licensed practical nurse and seasoned martial artist has focused his studies on Tai Chi Chuan for more than a decade. The majority of this time has been devoted to increasing the quality of life for him and others. He achieves this by combining his knowledge of western medicine and eastern philosophy. This motivational speaker delivers clear and concise information that affords participants easy comprehension and user-friendly application. In presentations, workshops and instructional courses, Sifu Walker applies the philosophy of Tai Chi to regular activities of daily living. Listen to how this particular signature of instruction produces new strategies for positive thinking. Learn how to change the negative views that affect your life, your family and your job. Discover how to overcome or manage obstacles by establishing balance in your life.
